Anna advises companies on all aspects of data protection law and data protection compliance. Her particular focus is on providing data protection advice on data driven business models and business model-related issues in the context of innovative technologies, including in the field of artificial intelligence, machine learning and health tech. Another focus is on advising providers from the crypto and web3 space, such as wallet and blockchain providers, routing aggregators and web3 gaming platforms on data protection issues.
Her advice, further, extends to strategic advice on data protection incidents and in regulatory proceedings.
Anna’s advisory practice also includes data protection advice in the context of internal investigations on cross-cutting issues such as the permissibility of e-mail screening, the handling of private data, information and disclosure obligations, as well as data transfers to (foreign) authorities and parties to proceedings.
Additionally, Anna advises investors and companies on data protection law in the context of venture capital and M&A transactions, with a particular focus on innovative technologies.
Education and Career
Anna studied law in Berlin, Milan and London. During her legal traineeship, Anna worked for a large international law firm and the German Federal Foreign Office. Subsequently, Anna completed a Master of Laws at University of Connecticut School of Law in Hartford (USA).
Before joining YPOG, Anna worked as a Senior Associate at the international law firm Hengeler Mueller Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB focusing on public and regulatory law, especially on data protection law.
