Berlin – A YPOG team led by Jens Kretzschmann advised Berlin-based venture capital investor SquareOne, formerly known as Paua Ventures, on the structuring of its third early-stage fund SquareOne III. The fund is backed by public investors, family offices, as well as the founders of Instana, Signavio, Workday, Adyen and Staffbase.
To date, SquareOne has invested in more than 40 startups, including Stripe, Pipedrive, Wandelbots, and VueStorefront. In addition to its financing activities, the investor leverages its network to provide its portfolio companies and founding teams quick access to customers and talent pools.
With SquareOne III, the VC will primarily invest in founders and startups in their early stage, focusing on European companies solving complex problems with scalable technologies in the areas of SaaS, software and deep tech. The first 14 investments were already made, primarily in the enterprise software-, climate tech-, open source-, and supply chain/procurement sectors.
