Sophia's focus is on advising private clients, family offices and medium-sized and large companies on current and structural taxation issues. Sophia also advises funds as well as private and commercial investors in the area of venture capital.
For the second time (2020/2024), the US publisher Best Lawyers® ranks Sophia among the “Ones to Watch” in the field of tax law in Germany in its current ranking in cooperation with Handelsblatt®.
Education and Career
Sophia studied business administration with a focus on taxation at the University of Worms. She also completed a Master's degree in “LL.M. Corporate Tax Law” at the University of Cologne while working. Before joining YPOG, Sophia worked as a Senior Associate at SMP (2018). Prior to that, she worked as a tax consultant at Flick Gocke Schaumburg and as a Tax Senior Consultant at BDO Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft AG.
Sophia is also a speaker at the Deutsches Anwaltsinstitut e.V. (DAI) in the specialist institute for family law, where she regularly gives lectures on accounting and tax topics.
