Frederik advises corporates, financial investors and start-ups on M&A and venture capital transactions as well as all matters of corporate law. His practice focuses on transaction and corporate law advice to, or in connection with investments in, growth-oriented companies in the areas of FinTech, InsurTech, PropTech, Digital Health, mobility. LegalTech and other regulated industries.
Leaders League ranks Frederik as one of only 15 leading German lawyers in Venture Capital (highest category). Business daily Handelsblatt in cooperation with US publishing house Best Lawyers© commended Frederik as one of Germany's best lawyers for venture capital, M&A and corporate law. Frederik has been also recognized by Chambers and Partners' FinTech Legal Guide 2020 as a notable practitioner.
Education and Career
Frederik studied law in Berlin and Kiel as well as law and management at the Executive School of Management, Technology and Law of the University of St. Gallen. Frederik began his legal career with Hengeler Mueller in Frankfurt and Düsseldorf. Before co-founding YPOG, Frederik worked at SMP, was Counsel at the FinTech Raisin (weltsparen.de) and founded the LegalTech start-up Conny.legal.
