Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne, February 2024 – YPOG elected Dr. Carola Rathke (53) as Co-Managing Partner. She succeeds Dr. Helder Schnittker (53), co-founder of YPOG, who has successfully led the firm for the past four years and is now passing on the baton per the usual rota.
Carola Rathke is an experienced and highly regarded financial services lawyer who joined YPOG together with her team in February 2022. She previously worked at Eversheds Sutherland, where she developed the Hamburg office and was a member of the German Management Committee.
Carola Rathke will lead the firm together with transaction lawyer Dr. Benjamin Ullrich (42), who was elected co-managing partner last year. With the new tandem Rathke/Ullrich, the partnership aims to promote diversity and at the same time transition the firm to the next generation.
"YPOG never stops, we are continuously evolving. I am very happy that with Carola and Ben we are now perfectly positioned to shape the future," comments Helder Schnittker.
Carola Rathke on her appointment: "We are not a traditional law firm and are characterized by a special dynamic and culture. I am delighted to be able to shape the future of YPOG together with Ben and a fantastic team."
Benjamin Ullrich adds: "I am very much looking forward to working with Carola, who will help take YPOG to the next level thanks to her management experience in international law firms - we complement each other very well in many respects."
Together with CEO Dr. Hariolf Wenzler and his team, Carola Rathke and Benjamin Ullrich will continue to drive the further development of the law firm with a focus on technology. Both will continue to predominantly act for their clients – this is part of YPOG's management concept.
