Berlin, August 14, 2024 – YPOG advised Berlin-based real estate development and investment company 15 Degree Technology and its founders on the acquisition of a majority stake by the London-based real estate investment firm Matter Real Estate.
15 Degree and Matter Real Estate plan to invest around €250 million to build a portfolio of sustainable residential properties in the German capital. The new partnership will give the company a significant advantage in the development of new projects and the acquisition of distressed projects.
Founded in Berlin in 2022, 15 Degree plans to build more than 1,000 rental apartments in Berlin by 2029. 15 Degree is currently developing 200 apartments at two locations in Berlin, 20 to 30 percent of which will be rent-controlled apartments.
