Hamburg – YPOG advised Skopos Impact Fund on its investment in JES GROUP GmbH, a company specializing in solar energy. With the help of the investment, JES GROUP intends to accelerate the expansion of renewable energies in private households and at the same time realize new innovative solutions for the fight against climate change. The aim is to become the market leader in photovoltaic installations and become the most innovative energy service provider in Germany. In order to bundle expertise, the JES GROUP will combine the individual companies JES AG, HK Solartec GmbH, Solar Express GmbH, HL GmbH and Holtz & Partner GmbH under one holding company. With currently more than one million square meters of occupied roof area in the B2B sector and 1300 realized photovoltaic systems in the B2C sector alone in the last 18 months, JES GROUP can already draw on a great deal of know-how in the photovoltaic sector.
Skopos Impact Fund is a €200+ million investment fund that supports fast-growing technology and service companies in Europe with capital, know-how and network. The fund is part of the Brenninkmeijer family group which also owns C&A. The investments focus is on established companies that support trends in the circular economy and resource efficiency. As a proactive long-term partner with entrepreneurial experience and a track record of supporting management teams and founders, the fund invests as both a minority and majority shareholder within Europe.
