Berlin/Hamburg – A YPOG Team co-led by Adrian Haase and Benjamin Ullrich provided comprehensive advice to unmanned aerial systems (UAS) developer Quantum-Systems on its latest financing round. The funding was backed by existing investor Bayern Kapital as well as by new investors Peter Thiel, Project A and Sanno Capital.
Quantum-Systems is a leading company for UAS development. The electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) systems provide industry-leading flight endurance, operational simplicity and reliability. The versatile UAS are used for security, defense, humanitarian and geospatial missions in both the public and private sectors.
The fresh money will be used for R&D investments to drive the further development of artificial intelligence, autonomy, edge computing and robotics. The funding will also enable Quantum-Systems to serve the growing market demand for advanced UAS in sectors such as defense, agriculture, mining, construction and energy. The UAS' can be used in a variety of use cases, search and rescue operations after natural disasters, automated railway inspections after severe weather, and for aerial data intelligence on large-scale construction operations.
Quantum-Systems already relied on the expertise and competence of the YPOG Team around Adrian Haase and Benjamin Ullrich during its previous Series A financing round with a total volume of $30 million closed in the first half of 2022.
