Berlin – A YPOG team led by Martin Schaper provided corporate law advice to momox, Europe's leading re-commerce company, on the conversions of momox Holding AG and momox AG into European Companies (SEs).
As a result of the conversion measures, the momox group will have a two-tier SE group structure in the future, which underlines the international orientation of momox and optimally fulfills the requirements of the company and its shareholders for an efficient corporate governance structure. In structuring the participation agreements, solutions were found that, on the one hand, allow for a balanced consideration of the interests of the employees and their representatives and, on the other hand, provide the company with a maximum of efficiency and legal certainty.
momox is thereby consistently continuing its course of internationalization. Recently the company expanded into two additional markets, Spain and Italy. Beyond that the Re-Commerce market leader sells its Second hand commodity also world-wide to customers, as for example in the USA and Canada.
Since its founding in 2004, momox has bought and resold more than 315 million used books, media items and clothing and employs more than 2,200 people at four locations.
