Berlin – A YPOG team led by Martin Schaper advised Delivery Hero on the sale of its German logistic business foodpanda (Delivery Hero Germany Logistics GmbH) including riders and office employees to Gorillas. The sale followed Delivery Hero’s decision to scale down its German operations to a Berlin-based hub focused on developing innovative logistics and tech solutions for the delivery industry, and to shift its resources to highly attractive growth opportunities in other markets and new verticals, especially in quick commerce.
A YPOG team led by Martin Schaper had already advised Delivery Hero earlier in 2021 when it acquired an approx. 8% stake in Gorillas in its approx. USD 1 billion Series-C financing round.
