Berlin – While working at SMP, members of the YPOG team have provided comprehensive legal advice on the establishment of the independent infrastructure fund Digital Infrastructure Vehicle (DIV) and tax advice on the anchor investment in Cellnex Netherlands.
DIV will focus on investments in digital infrastructure projects (fiber, towers and data centers) primarily in Europe. Deutsche Telekom and Cellnex will be anchor investors in DIV.
DIV's anchor investment is an acquisition of a 38% stake in Cellnex Netherlands, in which Deutsche Telekom and Cellnex combine their tower business in the Netherlands. Upon completion of the investment, Cellnex Netherlands will operate a total of 4,314 sites, including 180 new sites to be built within the next seven years.
