Berlin – YPOG announces a further valuable addition of its Team: Jann Fiedler, lawyer and notary (ret.) with around 35 years of notarial experience, will join the firm's Berlin office as Of Counsel as of September 2021. Jann Fiedler will strengthen the new business area of notarial services at YPOG alongside lawyer and notary Lilly Fiedler. Lilly Fiedler joined YPOG as a partner from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in July.
Jann Fiedler has been a lawyer since 1977 and was admitted as a notary in 1987 and was a founding partner of the law firm Fiedler, Zmija & Partner until 2021. His focus was primarily on his work as a notary – especially in the area of real estate and corporate law. He also advises entrepreneurs, companies and individuals on general civil law issues.
"Jann has extensive experience in advising entrepreneurs, companies and individuals, particularly in the area of real estate. After a dynamic start of our business field of notarial services with Lilly, we are very pleased about this further strengthening of our Team," says Helder Schnittker, YPOG managing partner.

In addition to his work as a lawyer and notary, Jann Fiedler has been involved in a wide variety of governing bodies for decades. For example, he was a member of the board of the Berlin Bar Association for 14 years and its vice president for eight years. He was a lecturer for the German Lawyers' Academy in the field of notary training for more than ten years. He was also a member of the state synod of the Protestant Church Berlin-Brandenburg-schlesische Oberlausitz and a member of the church leadership from 2003 to 2015. Since 1994, Jann Fiedler has maintained intensive ties with Israel and is a long-standing member of the DIJV (German Israel Lawyers Association).
